Delivery Driver Jobs in New Hampshire
A Delivery Driver in the transportation industry is responsible for transporting goods from distribution centers to businesses, residences or other designated locations. They are in charge of ensuring that deliveries are made in a timely manner, keeping accurate records of deliveries, and providing excellent customer service to customers or clients. They generally load and unload goods, inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle, follow driving regulations and safety standards. Additionally, they might be required to report any incidents they encounter while making a delivery to a supervisor.
Before becoming a Delivery Driver, one might have roles such as a Warehouse Associate, where they would gain experience in handling goods, or a Customer Service Representative, where they would learn how to interact with clients effectively. In terms of skills, Delivery Drivers should have excellent driving skills, physical stamina, time management skills, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently. They should also be detail-oriented to maintain accurate records. They should possess a valid driver's license, and in some cases, they may need special certifications depending on what they are transporting - for instance, a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for transporting large quantities of goods or hazardous materials.
