About Prime Meats

Prime Meats is a family-owned private meat packaging and distribution company based in Duluth, GA. Prime Meats has been serving restaurants, butcher shops, and grocery stores in the Southeast since 1992. Our main objective is to provide products with excellent quality and a service superior to that of the market. Our drivers transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.

This is a regional driving position, and drivers will need to drive out of state. Weekly home time is guaranteed.

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers via routes
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance before every route
• Meet delivery schedules & unload products for customers at the final delivery point. Including maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Log work, rest periods, and miles spent driving through documentation. Retain fuel and toll receipts and collect and verify delivery instructions
• Input macros into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Report defects, accidents, or violations

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience driving commercial vehicles such as refrigerated box trucks
• Experience delivering products and interacting with customers
• No serious tickets or accidents in the last 3 years including no DWI/DUIs in the last 10 years
• DOT Medical Card - a physical is required
• Bilingual - not required but preferred
• E-Verify
