Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Patient Transporter you will primarily be responsible for the safe transport of all patients throughout the hospital and assists the nursing staff in performing complex lifts, transfers and safe positioning of patients under the supervision of the patients registered nurse.

• You will be responsible for removal /replacement of leads on patients that have the approval to go to the department un-monitored as described in policy
• You will demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in his/her department

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Hospital related experience preferred
• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
